Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the crispy batter that envelops the fresh fish, which remains a highlight in every order. Many find the prices reasonable for the generous portion sizes, often praising the value for money. The homemade curry has garnered attention too; it’s rich and flavorful, filled with chicken and vegetables. Diners appreciate the wide variety on the menu that extends beyond fish, including delightful kebabs and hearty pies. The friendly staff often go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience, which adds to the locality's charm. Frequent visitors have commented on the lovely atmosphere, making the takeaway an inviting space despite its fast-paced nature.

Most Disliked

While many adore the food at Coronation Fish Bar, some customers note that it might not be the cheapest option in Crewe. A few diners hoped for more daily specials or unique offerings, expressing a desire for variety beyond the standard menu. The popularity during lunch hours can lead to longer wait times, particularly for takeaway orders. A handful of reviews mention that the dining area, though friendly, could benefit from a bit more upkeep during busy periods. Additionally, while the kids' menu caters to younger guests, some families felt that it could be expanded to entice picky eaters.

Literally still scranning now, would walk back down to congratulate them on the banging fish and chips if I could be arsed but I can't, I'm from South shields and we have arguable the best fish and chip shop in the country called colemans, I can honestly say that the fish in this place is on par with colemans, absolutely immense, well worth the money you pay and easily by a country mile the best in crewe

I have just been in to get some lunch and overheard the lady behind the counter mention homemade curry, so when it was my turn to order I enquired about it and I was sooo glad I did, it was so delicious! Full of chicken and veg and the sauce was beautiful! Recommend to everyone!

Always liked this chippy. After the rebuild service and food is still outstanding. Its not the cheapest in the area, but food quality is better. Batter is crispy. A good range of other items if you don't want fish. Specials are good value for money and always too mamy chips left over.
